Ben Bernanke Is Now Simply Asking Wall Street How Much Stimulus It Wants
The Federal Reserve has surveyed bond dealers for forecasts regarding how much asset purchases they expect from its second round of quantitative easing, and how much they expect such purchases to affect the market, according to Bloomberg.
'An Act That Can Only Be Classified As Treason' roars Zero Hedge. 'Isn't the Fed meant to guide expectations, rather than, erm, canvass them?' rightfully questions Tracy Alloway at FTAlphaville.

US Fed to avoid 'shock and awe' stimulus, WSJ reports
The US Federal Reserve is likely next week to unveil a programme of US Treasury bond purchases worth a few hundred billion dollars over several months, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.
China minister says dollar printing "out of control"
Dollar issuance by the United States is "out of control," leading to an inflation assault on China, the Chinese commerce minister said in comments reported on Tuesday.
"Because the United States' issuance of dollars is out of control and international commodity prices are continuing to rise, China is being attacked by imported inflation. Τα δολάρια που τυπώνουν οι ΗΠΑ καταλήγουν, σε μεγάλο βαθμό, στην Κίνα, μέσω των εξαγωγών της που πληρώνονται σε δολάρια δημιουργημένα από το πουθενάThe uncertainties of this are causing firms big problems," Chen was quoted as saying by the official Xinhua news agency.
CFTC's Chilton raises alarm about silver market
There have been repeated attempts to influence prices in silver markets, Bart Chilton, a commissioner at the U.S. futures regulator, said on Tuesday.
"There have been fraudulent efforts to persuade and deviously control that price," Chilton said in prepared remarks before a Commodity Futures Trading Commission meeting.
Fortunes will be made and lost, and careers ruined, as the revelations of manipulation and corruption are made over the next ten years. And this will make for dangerous times, as an empire of deceit collapses not at once, but in stages. There will be new threats and more bailouts for the banks to be paid by 'austerity' for the common person who is caught up in their own web of petty diversions, apathetic cynicism and denial. There is little better example of this than Britain but America is not far behind.
But the tide has turned and change is in the wind.

California Borrows $6.7 Billion Cash From JPMorgan-Led Group
California borrowed $6.7 billion from JPMorgan Chase & Co. and five other banks to pay delinquent bills that piled up during the state’s record-length budget impasse, Treasurer Bill Lockyer said.
California, the largest U.S. issuer of municipal debt, agreed to pay 1.4 percent to the banks, which also include Goldman Sachs Group Inc., for the bridge loan, Lockyer said. He will repay the debt in about two weeks when he sells an estimated $10 billion of revenue anticipation notes, a short- term municipal bond the state offers when cash is low and repays from later tax collections

Retired and broke: Why retirees are declaring bankruptcy
For more and more seniors, retirement doesn’t mean a debt-free life of leisure. An increasing number of Americans aged 65 and older are declaring bankruptcy, according to a recent study by John Pottow, professor of law at the University of Michigan Law School.
